Generative Boundary Theory Memo

Boundary Generation Theory proposes that new value in the AI era emerges not from tool-use of AI, nor from statistical pattern processing, but from generative interaction — bidirectional, open, producing something neither human nor AI could produce alone.

The boundary is not a wall but a membrane — permeable, dynamic, the site of creation itself. When human intuition meets machine pattern-recognition at this boundary, something unprecedented emerges: not human art assisted by AI, nor AI art prompted by humans, but a third category that belongs to the interaction itself.

This theory underpins the Pneuma project’s methodology. Each work is born at the boundary between forty languages, between sound and silence, between meaning and its dissolution.
